This is one of the hardest posts I’ll ever have to write. This morning at 2:35am my mom passed away. She had been battling cancer for about 4 years and that battle has finally ended in a draw! My mom was amazing, super human putting everyone she ever met first no matter if they were a friend, family member or a stranger she met on the street. I was an only child and always said I wanted a brother so to make up for that she always had our house open to my friends becoming a second mom to a huge cast of characters throughout my life.
If anyone needed a place to stay our doors were always open and no matter what house we were living in it was always full of people. She is impossible to live up to. She was a teacher and left that to follow her dream. She and my dad travelled Canada and the USA in a show band called The great Rufus road machine for many years before and after I was born. When that chapter closed she started her own music school and businesses appropriately called I love music and The Musical Rainbow.
On top of that she also was the musical star on the tv show Pollywog until that show ended. She then started teaching school again at a private school called Children’s College. Teaching grade 4 and 5 as well as the music program during the day and doing her music school in the evenings she worked so hard to share her gifts with others. In her later years she left teaching school to join another band called the Lincolnaires and playing in church.
I guess I forgot to mention in the middle of all these amazing feats she also worked heavily in the holistic and spiritual communities writing and composing healing music which was studied and proved at Brock University. She has touched thousands of lives and it is going to be a very hard task to pass this along to all the students, teachers, friends and acquaintances she has met over the years but hopefully sharing this on social media will get the message to all the people who need to know. I know now her reach to help others is beyond just her physicals means. She now has the reach of a rainbow. She was the best mother a boy could ever have and there will not be a day that goes by where she is not thought of.
I love you Mom
Hi, I'm Sharon. Some people call me "the Musical Rainbow Lady".
Welcome to my site. I'm so glad you have found me.
I've been creating healing music since 1986. Through the years, I have helped many adults (of all ages), teenagers, students, children, babies, special needs, A.D.D., A.D.H.D., Autism, and even our animals friends with specialized music.
When musical notes and colours of the rainbow are blended together, our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects become harmonized and balanced.
Have you ever listened to music that makes you - happy, sad, calm, relaxed, agitated, jumpy, want to dhance? If you can answer yes to any of the above, then you have felt the power of music and you know the effects it has on you. Music is the universal language, the language of our heart and soul. It can soothe or irritate the savage beast.
Did you also know that music that is specially designed to certain rhythmic and harmonic frequencies enhance brain wave, body and emotional patterns in a very positive way?
There has been a lot of positive research on how music enhances the memory and the learning process. Researchers have discovered how music can reduce stress and how it can change brainwave patterns. New discoveries are being made all the time. Learn more....
